OK, I think I've had my website running for nearly a year.
I've been putting all the hard effort in, making jewellery, taking pictures (then erasing them as I thought they were tripe), costing jewellery plus trying to get some networking on the computer, blah, blah. Now, I'm the first one to admit I'm impatient, but when does all the hard work start paying off???? I'm getting frustrated at checking my computer every day, to just glance if that special someone has placed an order, or at least enquired about something? But no, nothing - diddly squat.
I must admit i'm not very good at letting people know what I'm doing. Not many of my friends know. I guess I just feel a bit silly telling them, well it's not a 'proper' job is it. Then from the people who do know, I get the all important question 'Have you sold anything yet?' . So thats another thing, how can I tell people I make jewellery, yet have to admit that I haven't actually sold anything?
I'm waffling again. It's just that I've been doing all the things that I've been advised to, but nothing is happening. How long has anybody else had to wait before a sale?
I know how you feel! I only really make sales when I plug hard for commissions around the major holidays- Mother's day, Valentine's, etc. Your friends (especially male ones who are rubbish at buying presents) are a minefield for commissions ;)
